The Memory Box Project aims to encourage, support and share memories with people living with dementia. Funded by the National Lottery, this service is provided by The Wessex Heritage Trust and is offered free-of-charge. Elections to the two new 'unitary' councils across Dorset following re-organisation.
Venue: Polling Stations - as notified by Polling Card (postal / proxy voting should already have been notified ahead of this date, provisionally between 11th and 24th April).
7.00 am - 10.00 pm
NOTE THAT THE LISTS FOR CANDIDATES IS NOW CLOSED: WEST MOORS PARISH WILL BE REPRESENTED BY ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WERE CANDIDATES AS THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH TO HAVE AN ELECTION . . . SEE THE PANEL AT THE HEAD OF THE 'COMMUNITY  NEWS' PAGE.
To ensure you are able (i.e., registered) to vote, see the procedure . . . HERE.
This is a 'Dorset-wide' vote for two councils covering the areas formerly covered by Dorset County Council, the various District Councils and the Boroughs of Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole. There is no election for the parish council as there are not sufficient candidates to justify a poll - see the panel at the head of the Community News page.

Elections to the EU Parliament - subject to the political situation
Polling stations used would almost certainly be the Memorial Hall (Station Road) and St. Anthony's church hall (Pinehurst Road), but would be advised by polling card beforehand and confirmed here.
Polling stations would open between 7.00 am and 10.00 pm
[This obviously depends on the progress (or otherwise) of the political discussions to settle the UK/EU future relationship; should this election take place, then the polling station venues (Memorial Hall & St. Anthony's church hall) will be unavailable for other activities. Four (at least) live performances - tickets include access to Sturts Farm - Barn on the Farm as well as food that will be cooked by on-site chefs using food grown and reared on the Organic Farm.
