[ NOT NOTIFIED, BUT SUSPECT SUSPENDED ]

I HAVEN'T HAD EXPLICIT ADVICE THAT THE W.I. HAVE SUSPENDED ACTIVITIES BUT GIVEN LATEST GOVERNMENT ADVICE / DIRECTIONS I SUSPECT THAT ANY PLANNED EVENTS WILL BE EITHER CANCELLED OR POSTPONED; CONTACT AS UNDER FOR MORE INFORMATION.

West Moors Women's Institute meet in the afternoon on the first Thursday of each month at 14.15 (2.15 pm) in the West Moors Memorial Hall (Station Road, opposite parish church, off-road parking available). We total approximately fifty in number and are a friendly group of ladies ranging from the young, to the not quite so young!
At our meetings we usually have a guest speaker, covering a wide range of interesting topics from travel, history, local affairs, health and much more. We also arrange outings and our craft group meets fortnightly on Tuesday mornings. [ See the programme below - this is published a year in advance, so changes may be made from time-to-time ]

We would like you to join us as a visitor at one of our meetings where you will be welcomed by our hostess and learn more about the Women's Institute in West Moors.

womens institute plaque The Institute celebrated 100 years of existence in 2015: the first WI meeting was held in Llanfairpwll (Anglesey) on the 16th September, 1915. This plaque, and associated rose planting, commemorates that event.

The plaque and rose were originally located at the southern end of the Petwyn: it was decided in the Spring of 2017 that both items should be re-located to the garden area at the front of the Memorial Hall, where this image was taken in April of that year.
